vCenter Server Administration !!!

This post is related to the Administration which is done using vCenter server. I covered basic tasks like how to create a data center and how to add hosts to the DC using vCenter.

Take the login to vCenter server using vSphere Client...
First of all let us create a folder to differentiate our DC, here I am using location name as my folder name...

Name the folder...

Create a data center within the folder...

Now we can add host to our DC...

Enter the IP and login credentials of our host...

Host Summary...

License Key...

Location of the host...

Now we can administer and manage our host from vCenter server... We can see our VMs within the host...

Similarly we can add many hosts which are available in the DC...

IP and login credentials of my second host...

In my second host, only one VM is up and running...

Like this once we are done with adding the hosts and creating all the DCs, we can monitor the health of all the VMs through single sign on, we can perform reboots, we can change the configuration and many other kinds of administration things can be handled using vCenter Server.

Many other tasks can be carried out, we can check the system logs, check system performance and can manage clusters and hosts through vCenter server...
